Personnel:
Dave Parzych, President
and Principal Acoustical Consultant
Power Acoustics principal noise consultant has
more than 25 years of continuous experience in the field of acoustics
and noise control. Dave's industry experience has ranged from
working as an acoustical engineer to silence our Navy's nuclear power
submarine fleet, to reducing commercial
aircraft propulsion noise and
abating the sound from land based power plants used by electric power
generation utilities.
Dave started Power Acoustics,
Inc. in 1998. He performs sound surveys,
noise related environmental impact assessments and sound
modeling studies, silencer or muffler designs, enclosure and open top
barrier designs and
works for clients
as an expert
witness. Dave works in all aspects of acoustics and noise
control including his power generation and industrial
noise specialty, as well as
transportation and commercial noise issues. He has also
developed engineering software used for calculating community sound
levels, SPM9613,
from his
Orlando, Florida office. Dave has
written dozens of technical papers and
reports on noise modeling and environmental
sound. More information about Dave can be found in David
Parzych's Curriculum
Vitae.
Larry Kenny, Chief Designer
Larry Kenny has been working in the steel
fabrication industry for over 25 years and provides design service support, as needed, on silencers, enclosures and sound barriers. He has several US patents and
numerous accomplishments that have helped employers and customers
profit from his efforts. While directly employed by several heavy steel
fabricators, Larry has designed and supported the construction of
several hundred gas turbine intake and exhaust silencer systems,
exhaust diffusers for every major gas turbine model used by the power
industry, exhaust stacks, industrial high temperature dampers and water
control valves, as well as, a multitude of other miscellaneous custom
steel fabrications for power plant applications. Larry is the
principal of Creative Design
Concepts and Prototyping (CDCP). CDCP provides manufacturing tooling, fixtures, documentation and product
design support for several major government projects including the Oak
Ridge National Laboratories Spallation Neutron Source, and the
Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratories National Compact Stellar
Experiment. He is fluent in all forms of finite element analysis, 2D
and 3D parametric CAD modeling, ISO and Six Sigma quality systems.
